Vice President and Professor Michael Ezekowitz MD, PhD is responsible for overseeing clinical research conducted at the Institute. In his additional capacity as Vice President of Clinicai Research for Main Line Hospitals, Dr. Ezekowitz also acts as a resource to clinical investigators throughout the system. A practicing echocardiologist, Dr. Ezekowitz has over 20 years experience in academic research including at Yale University, where he was Professor of Medicine and Director of Clinical Trials, and at Hahnemann Medical School, where he was Professor and Chairman in the Department of Medicine.
The members of the Associated Clinical Faculty aim to develop
the latest advances in medicine for the benefit of the patient.
Our work in patients is held to the highest standards through
careful examination by the Institutional
Review Board (IRB). Among the clinical reearch programs
sponsored by LIMR are such programs funded by the National
Institutes of Health as the Community Clinical
Oncology Program (CCOP).
LIMR researchers collaborate with the Annenberg Center for Medical Education at the Lankenau Hospital and with physicians at the Main Line Heart Center and the Lankenau and Bryn Mawr Hospitals to support clinical research and education programs, including in cardiology, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, obstetrics-gynecology, nephrology, and surgery.
