Summer Undergraduate
Internships
LIMR offers funded summer internships for
undergraduate students in their freshman, sophomore, or junior
years who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and
biomedical research. Interns will receive a $3,200 stipend
for an 8-week internship that can be extended to ten weeks
with the approval of the mentor.
We anticipate having 6 interns for the 2009
summer program. The program will run from June 8 through
July 31, 2009. Four Interns will be involved in basic medical
research in the laboratory and two interns will be involved
in human clinical trials research.
LIMR encompasses a dynamic group of scientists
conducting basic and preclinical research in cancer, cardiovascular
diseases, aging, and diabetes. After reviewing the Research
Programs of the scientists, applicants may wish to indicate
a preference for the program(s) they are most interested in.
