The faculty of the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR) includes 17 principal investigators at the Institute, 24 affiliated clinical faculty at Lankenau Hospital or other Main Line Health hospitals, and 2 senior investigators directing the Institute's product and intellectual development companies (LIMR Development Inc. [LDI] and LIMR Chemical Genomics Center Inc. [LCGC]).
While LIMR provides some finanical support, the major source of funding comes from competitive grants and research contracts awarded to our faculty from federal, state, and private organizations. Thus, LIMR researchers operate as ‘private practice’ groups who work together to study cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
