Diabetes Research Collaboration
The Lankenau Institute for Medical Research
and LIMR scientist, Dr. Lisa Laury-Kleintop are collaborating
with scientists at CureDM, Inc to help find a new treatment
which may prevent, ameliorate or reverse diabetes. This project
will further characterize how a specific bioactive peptide
involved in islet regeneration stimulates the differentiation
of adult pancreatic progenitor cells into new insulin producing
islets without the use of stem cells.
