DIRECTIONS

The Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR) is on the Lankenau Hospital campus, located on highway US 30 (Lancaster Avenue) 1/4 mile west of the intersection of US 30 and US 1 (City Line Avenue).

Arriving from Philadelphia International Airport or Amtrak 30th Street Station:

Ask the taxi driver to take the Schuylkill Expressway to City Line Avenue (US1 South). Proceed ~2.5 miles on City Line Avenue to Lancaster Avenue (US30). Turn right and proceed 1/4 mile to the entrance to the Lankenau Hospital Campus on your left. The fare from the airport is $25-30 and from the train station is $10-15.

Traveling by car on I-76 from the north, east, or west of Philadelphia:

(Schuylkill Expressway), exit at City Line Avenue (US1 South) and proceed approximately 2.5 miles to Lancaster Avenue (US30). Turn right onto Lancaster Avenue (US30 West) and proceed 1/4 mile to the entrance of the Lankenau Hospital campus on your left.

Traveling by car on US1 from south of Philadelphia:

Turn left onto Lancaster Avenue (US30 West) and proceed 1/4 mile to the entrance of the Lankenau Hospital campus.

Traveling by car on US30 from the Main Line suburbs (on Lancaster Avenue):

Turn right into the Lankenau Hospital campus approximately 1/2 mile after the commercial district in Ardmore ends at Wynnewood Road.

Traveling by Public Transportation:

From Center City Philadelphia:

BY TRAIN, from Philadelphia’s 30th Street or Suburban Station, take SEPTA’s R5 Paoli/Thorndale to either Overbrook or Wynnewood. From Overbrook, it is a fifteen-minute walk up City Ave. to Lancaster, then west along Lancaster to the Hospital. From Wynnewood, you can catch the 105 bus.

BY SUBWAY AND BUS, take the Market-Frankford Elevated line to the 69th Street terminal, and transfer to the 105 bus to Lankenau. The SEPTA G bus also stops at Lankenau.

PARKING

Arriving at Lankenau Hospital Campus, the closest building as you proceed up the hill on the access road is LIMR. Arriving by taxi, ask the driver to follow the signs to the Emergency Room and to drop you off immediately after the turn toward the Emergency Room entrance (LIMR front entry). If you are dropped at the main entry of the hospital, follow signs for the Annenberg Medical Education Center, passing through it and into LIMR.

Arriving by car, park in Parking Lot A, which is located immediately adjacent to the main entry of the hospital (turn into the lot just before the main entrance). From Lot A, enter LIMR from the lower level or through Annenberg Education Center from the upper level.
