Technology Transfer

The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) is a division of the Department of Business Development and is tasked with promoting the development and commercialization of research conducted by LIMR scientists including current licensing opportunities in our laboratories. The OTT also has several policies and forms available online.

The main responsibilities of the OTT include:

• Drafting Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) and Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs)
• Communicating with patent counsel regarding patent prosecution, maintenance, and defense of LIMR intellectual property
• Crafting intellectual property provisions for inter-institutional agreements, consortium agreements, and sponsored research agreements
• Drafting licensing agreements between LIMR and external pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
• Producing space occupancy agreements, services agreements, and research collaboration agreements between LIMR and early stage companies located at LIMR
• Representing LIMR as a member of the 611+ Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) and its parent organization, BioStrategyPartners
