Clinical Research

ClinicalResearch

At LIMR, one of our goals is to move discoveries to the patient bedside. To achieve this goal, the Clinical Research Center (CRC) was established in 2005 under the leadership of internationally known cardiologist Michael Ezekowitz, MD, PhD, who has special expertise in clinical trial design and conduct.

The staff of the CRC has expertise in study design, data, and project management, IRB/human subjects protection as well as business development and budgeting. This team is responsible for developing and/or reviewing new protocols that will expand the boundaries of medical knowledge and may offer the possibility of future therapeutic benefit to patients.

They work with all specialists and subspecialists throughout Main Line Health. Services provided by CRC staff for researchers performing clinical trials can include pre-study contract and grants, start-up services, post study contracts, biostatistical input, accounts payable, and use of a Clinical Outpatient Center that consists of three fully equipped patient examination rooms and a phlebotomy station.
